Romance with a Double Bass is a 1972 Yugoslav film directed by Zdravka Šotre.
“A Novel with a Double Bass” is a lyrical story about a young double bass musician who travels with fellow musicians outside the city, to play at a wedding in a summer house. Enthralled by the musical theme that spins in his head, the young musician wanders on the road, falling into a series of strange situations. Two thieves and one girl, the bride at the wedding, will determine his fate in an unexpected way. In a film without dialogue, music has a special role.
